Dean G. Allen, PhD. took 20 years to get his PhD in Psychology and then quit after 5 years when he realized he didn't have the tools to give people what they were paying him to get. So, he ran into the new 'quantum' science about how the organs and glands have their own 'language'. He has since developed the 'BODYTALKER' - a device that decodes how the body holds onto stuck trauma (spinning the energy down and in - causing disease); and then translates that into the unconscious decisions people are making in their lives. He has taught thousands of clients how to get personal power by expressing themselves more clearly, quickly and appropriately for 20 years. He has worked with the stars in Los Angeles (because of the 'anti-aging' nature of his work), and taught a University "Psychology of Consciousness" course for many years (in the early 70's!). He has been a Wellness Consultant for the Times Publishing Co. in Florida, and has personally worked with Louise Hay and Dr. Norm Shealy on this science. Dr. Allen is currently developing the TV pilot "Frontiers In Consciousness"

Intro to QIGONG: Balancing Body, Mind and Spirit
QIGONG is a gentle form of exercise that helps increase your metabolism and flexibility. You will begin to learn how to Communicate with Nature to harmonize your internal and external environment. We will be doing activities which will help you connect to your inner child using the Chinese 5-Element cycle: metal, water, wood, fire, and earth. We will play, laugh, and have fun- discovering your "Inner Smile".
Greg Carter started studying NLP in 1993 and became a Master Practitioner in 1996. He was certified in Hypnotherapy in 2001. He has been studying martial arts since 1995 and started learning Qigong exercises in 2003 with the Healing Tao system. Greg became certified as an HTIA Associate Instructor in October 2006. His teachers include Michael Winn (North Carolina), Karin Sorvik (New Jersey), Rene Navarro (New York), Marie Favorito (Boston), Giles Marin (San Francisco), and Master Mantak Chia (Thailand). He has traveled around the country to learn this information and is excited to share it with our local community.

Angela Gifford is a Licensed Massage Therapist who graduated from the Myotherapy College of Utah in 2001. Her first exposure to energy work was studying Hwa Rang Do self-defense classes with Master Jason Moore in 1991. He is a blind martial artist who teaches his students how to see without using their eyes. In 2005, she learned Women's Earth Qigong and BaGua Circle Walking from Tina Zhang (New York). She has studied a variety of subjects including Hypnosis, Nutrition, Feng Shui, Chinese 5-Element Theory, Neurolinguistic Programming, Feldenkrais, Therapeutic Touch, and Chi Nei Tsang (Internal Organ Massage). She has a private practice called Touch of an Angel Massage, located in South Salt Lake with a group called Holistic Therapies. She also speaks Spanish and has a background in the medical field.

When we really start to seek and are in earnest the answers start to come. And then the quest begins. We start to make choices based on awareness. Then we take responsibility for our lives and try to find meaning and purpose. I believe my purpose is to express myself artistically. I hope these words take you to far reaching places of your mind. Maybe even inspire!

Youth Empowerment, an NLP Model for Teens
In 2002, Andrea Kalvesmaki started Creative Coaching, a unique alternative to traditional tutoring and educational services in Utah. Five Ways to Speak Your Choice Client’s (or Employee’s) Language
Each of us has filters of perception that guide our thought processes and determine how we experience the world around us. In NLP these filters are called Meta-Programs. They are unconsciously revealed in both our language and our actions. Learning to identify and understand how the meta-programs influence someone’s thinking and behavior, we can adjust our own vocabulary and conduct to reflect their patterns, allowing communication to be more clear, more powerful and more influential.

“To Be” or Not “To Be” – The Language of E-Prime, E-Choice and NLP
One of the central principles which formed the very basis of NLP is Alfred Korzybski’s assertion, “The map is not the territory.” When people confuse the map for the territory, it often results in misunderstanding, miscommunication, and limited ways of perceiving and being in the world.
The structure of language we use influences the way we perceive “reality” as well as how we behave with respect to that perceived reality. The use of the “to be” class of verbs tend to cause us to confuse the map for the territory and experience the problematic results.
Fortunately, the language patterns of E-Prime and E-Choice provide an opportunity to think, speak and write in a way that not only preserves the “map vs. territory” distinction but also adds clarity, precision and accuracy to our communication while restoring our connection to our subjective experience of life. Dan’s interest is in strengthening Senior Citizens. He feels too many are derailed long before their journey is complete. In his opinion, this segment of society has been too long ignored.
